University Catalogs

The University Archives houses University of Pennsylvania Catalogs going as far back as 1825. The earliest catalogs provided listings of trustees, faculty and matriculants for the various constituent schools or departments of the University along with summary enrollment statistics for the Academy and Charity School. As the nineteenth century progressed, the catalogs concentrated almost exclusively on the College and professional schools. The type of information offered in the catalogs was expanded to include University regulations regarding entrance requirements, course offerings, examination subjects, most recent graduates, special fees, and other matters.

A growing selection of these catalogs are available on-line, in their entirety, in PDF (Portable Document File) format. View, search within and print these PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
