William Augustus Atlee (1735-1793)

    William Augustus Atlee was an active Whig during the American Revolution. The Pennsylvania legislature appointed him a Supreme Court Judge in 1777 and a trustee of the University of the State of Pennsylvania (now the University of Pennsylvania) in 1779. He also is known to have acted as Deputy Commissary General in area of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
