St. Joseph'ss Cliff Anderson
Cliff Anderson graduated as the Hawks' most prolific player back in 1967, when he was selected as an all-American. He left St. Joseph's as the school's all-time top scorer (1,728) and rebounder (1,228). His scoring mark has been surpassed, but the rebounding record remains. A first round pick by the ABA's Pittsburgh Pipers, Anderson averaged a school-record 26.5 points a game as a senior. He led St. Joseph's in scoring and rebounding in each of his three seasons and his 15.5 rebound average as a sophomore is still a school record. And the high-scoring Hawks went 66-18 in his career, scored more than 100 points 12 times and were in the 90s on 22 other occasions. His career highs are 39 points (against Rhode Island as a sophomore) and 32 rebounds (against La Salle as a senior). The 32 boards are the most ever in a Big Five game.
