Extracted in 1980 from a collection of books belonging to William
H.F. Addison donated to the Samuel J. Wood Library of Cornell University
Medical College by his son-in-law in 1973. Given by the Samuel J. Wood
Library to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Library in 1980. Transferred
to the University of Pennsylvania Archives in 1980.
SCOPE AND CONTENT
This diary was kept by Eleanor Corkhill Adams Addison (faculty wife)
from December 31, 1939 to May 21, 1944. It provides an intimate account
of a wide range of faculty and campus life during the Second World War.
