AGENCY HISTORY

1906 Axel Greasers' Club Dinner was an annual alumni gathering of mechanical engineering students of the University of Pennsylvania class of 1906 and was formed shortly after their graduation. The name originated from "The Axle Greaser's Football Team," an informal team of engineering students organized in their sophomore year. The dinner was held either December or January of the year at the Engineer's Club in Philadelphia. It was a social event in which the alumni would gather to discuss the news of their lives and the University.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of binder which contains the minutes, financial reports, and commemorative illustrated invitations which contained the signatures of the attendees. The minutes have information on both the personal and professional lives of the mechanical engineering alumni of the Class of 1906 of the University of Pennsylvania.
