SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Phi Delta Kappa Records document the operation of the national honorary fraternity for men in education as well as the activities of the Tau Chapter at Penn from 1916, the year the Chapter was established, to 1959.

Major features of this series are the agenda publication entitled Notebook issued by the National Council of the Phi Delta Kappa, the journal of the national fraternity entitled Phi Delta Kappan from 1940 to 1957, correspondence of the Tau Chapter from 1940 to 1957, membership dues receipts from 1949 to 1955, reports and papers presented by new members from 1929 to 1946, and the Tau Chapter newsletter from 1935 to 1957.
