SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Student Files are files of admission applicants as well as students who attended the Graduate School of Education from 1944 to 1961. At the core of this series are files of those students who completed the undergraduate program and graduated from the School. In addition, there are files of students who withdrew or transferred before they finished the program, files of students who were excluded from the program by the Executive Committee or denied admission to the fifth year for practicum, and files of applications disapproved or approved from 1953 to 1961. Each file usually includes admission material, correspondence, academic records, appraisal of the student's work, a summary of the student's experience at the School, and in some cases, the reasons for actions on any change in the student's status with the program.
