Notes: The meetings of the governing body of the University of Pennsylvania from 1749 to 1978 are recorded in a continuing series of minute books which has now reached its thirty seventh volume, all of which are in the archives. A microfilm of the Minutes from 1749 to 1990, together with a card index covering the Minutes for the years 1749 to 1842 and 1860 to 1990, is available for consultation in the University Archives. The first four volumes (1749-1791) of the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania Minute Books are available on-line: volume 1, 1749-1768 (College, Academy and Charitable School).
