Daily record of payment of subscriptions, for faculty salaries, building
expenses, materials and furnishings purchased, repairs and services
rendered and income from investments. Includes accounts with Benjamin
Franklin, Peter Collinson and others in England for instruments and
books. Title page has a table diagram and a list of food dishes evidently
consumed at a trustees dinner.

Peter Collinson and others in England for instruments and books. The
last pages contain an account of documents delivered by Francis Hopkinson
to Henry Hill, Treasurer of the College board, May 7, 1789.

the State of Pennsylvania [and University of Pennsylvania, after 1791],
detailing, property by property, payment of ground rents. The volume
had been previously the account book of a broker identified from internal
evidence as Lazarus Barnett, and includes his accounts with many Philadelphia
dealers, principally Jews (including Lyon Hart, Jonas Phillips, Lazarus
Levy, Abraham Levy, Moses Cohen, Ephraim Hart, Benjamin Nones, Izotick
Joseph) for dry goods and sundries, including a debt "for Synagogue,"
February 5-November 25, 1784.
